is spring wound... it doesn't need power .. i had another one that the dial had a film canister/cup on it to drop a key as a release ..

Ok.  I hadn't seen the electro magnet.  Is the timer clockwork?

timer is an electrical switch basically.. gives power to a electromagnet. you can see it and steel plate between my neck hole and right wrist hole... i think it has 600lbs of holding foorce. its 12v so there is a 12v adapter at the wall... all the wiring is routed threw the wood stock.. I used a 16" long drill bit to make a hole threw for wires to run so I can't get at any of it..

nope... i've been in it for an hour, with mistress there and that was quite enough for me...    this was the first time i've used both channels of the estim and turned up that high... was a bit much...

mechanical/spring timer for bathroom ceiling fan... 0-60min.. i also have one that does up to 12hr... don't think I need that... yet...
