About

These two, affectionate, playful Roman soldiers from Derek Jarman's "Sebastiane" (1976) captivated me. I've isolated them here, away from the context of the film, with my own choice of music.

Oh, incidentally, for those who are curious, the two pieces of music used here are, "The Generator" from the Parry Music Library, and "Communique" by Geoff Bastow, both favorite Library cuts by terrific artists.

What I wanted to do here, as soon as I saw the scenes in the film, was isolate this duo away from the Christian nonsense, and just show them as two beautiful men enjoying each other. They are so affectionate in the first part of the video, it's remarkable. The smiles, the good-naturedness of it all was transfixing. Much of the slo-mo is already in the movie, and what little I added was in the beginning scenes to compliment the rest of the goings-on. I hope you enjoy it. Cheers, and Thank You for your comments!

You can occasionally find the whole movie online.   it's notable for being the first movie and probably the only one to be shot using vulgar Latin.  You'll notice at the last you do see the genitals.    Supposedly this movie was broadcast on British TV and it showed his hard on.   There's several nude or near nude scenes in it.    It was shot on 16mm stock.
